Return and Refund Policy

We want to be totally transparent about what you can and can't return or get refunded. Here's how it works for our different types of offerings:

Physical Events (Workshops, Classes, Retreats, and In-Person Gatherings)

No refunds or cancellations available

Under Danish consumer law (Forbrugeraftaleloven § 18, stk. 2, nr. 12) and EU consumer rights regulations (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(l)), tickets and bookings for physical events scheduled for a specific date or time period are not eligible for refunds or the standard 14-day right of withdrawal.

This exception exists because these are services tied to a specific date or period of performance, and once you've booked your spot, we've reserved resources, materials, and capacity specifically for you.

What this means:

  • All bookings for physical workshops, classes, retreats, and events are final and non-refundable

  • You cannot cancel or change your booking once confirmed

  • Payment is binding at the time of booking

  • This applies whether you attend or not (no-shows are not refunded)

If we cancel:
If we have to cancel an event (due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or other compelling reasons beyond our control), you'll receive a full refund of your ticket price. We'll notify you as soon as possible and process your refund within 14 days.

Digital Products and Services (Online Courses, Downloads, Streaming Content, Digital Workshops)

No right of withdrawal once you've started using them

According to Danish law (Forbrugeraftaleloven § 18, stk. 2, nr. 13) and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, digital content that isn't delivered on a physical medium (like downloads, streaming videos, online courses, or digital workbooks) is not eligible for refunds once performance has begun—but only if you've given us your express consent and acknowledged that you'll lose your right of withdrawal.

What this means:

  • Before accessing any digital product or service, you'll be asked to explicitly agree that you want immediate access

  • By agreeing and accessing the content (downloading, streaming, or logging into an online course), you acknowledge that you're giving up your 14-day withdrawal right

  • Once you've clicked "I agree" and started using the digital product, it cannot be refunded

  • This is fully compliant with both Danish and EU consumer protection law

Before you access it:
You technically have a 14-day right of withdrawal, but only if you haven't accessed or downloaded the content yet. If you purchase something and change your mind before accessing it, contact us at admin@alignish.com within 14 days.

If something's broken:
If a digital product is defective, doesn't work as described, or has technical issues, that's different—you still have your 2-year legal warranty rights under Danish law. Contact us at admin@alignish.com and we'll work to fix it, replace it, or issue a refund if we can't resolve the issue.

Online Live Events (Virtual Workshops, Livestreams, Webinars)

No refunds once the event has started

Online events that happen live at a specific date and time are treated similarly to physical events under Danish and EU law—they're services tied to a specific performance date.

What this means:

  • Once you register and the event begins (or once you've been given access with your express consent), refunds are not available

  • If you don't attend a live online event, you won't receive a refund

  • We'll ask for your express consent before providing access, and by agreeing, you acknowledge you're losing your right of withdrawal

If we cancel:
If we cancel a scheduled online event, you'll get a full refund within 14 days.

Physical Products (If Applicable)

If we ever sell physical goods (like printed workbooks, merchandise, or materials), you have a standard 14-day right of withdrawal after receiving the item, in accordance with Danish and EU distance-selling regulations.

To return a physical item:

  • You have 14 days after receiving it to notify us at admin@alignish.com

  • Items must be in the same condition you received them—unused, with tags, in original packaging

  • You're responsible for return shipping costs

  • We'll refund your purchase price (excluding original shipping costs) within 14 days of receiving the returned item

Exceptions for physical products:

  • Custom or personalized items cannot be returned

  • Items with broken seals for hygiene reasons (if applicable) cannot be returned

  • Sale items and gift cards are not eligible for return

Damages and Issues

Please check your order immediately upon receipt (for physical items) or upon first access (for digital products). If something is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us right away at admin@alignish.com so we can make it right.

You have a 2-year legal warranty under Danish consumer law for faulty products and services.

EU 14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Where Applicable)

If you're in the EU or EEA and you've purchased something that's eligible for the withdrawal right (like physical products you haven't used, or digital content you haven't accessed), you have 14 days to change your mind for any reason.

However, as explained above, this does not apply to:

  • Event tickets (physical or online) for specific dates

  • Digital content once you've accessed it with your consent

  • Services that have been fully performed with your prior consent
